Peace River Pow Wow
Are you ready for an unforgettable celebration of Indigenous and Métis culture? Get ready to immerse yourself in a two-day festival filled with incredible music, dancing, and celebration at the Peace River Agricultural Grounds.
The SOS Party is back and bigger than ever on Friday, June 12 from 4 PM to midnight at the NWP Fairview Campus, featuring live music by Goodbye Iris and Angry Outdoor Kids, DJ C-Side, games, food trucks, vendors, mocktails, and a fully licensed area for one unforgettable night.
Each June, the Town of Falher comes alive for the Falher Honey Festival, a weekend celebration featuring carnival rides, live music, sports tournaments, delicious food, a pancake breakfast, parade, colour run, and fun for all ages including beer gardens, axe throwing, and family-friendly activities.
River racing is a pure adrenaline rush where jet boats navigate the challenging waterways of the Peace and the Smoky River at speeds of up to 160mph. Nerves of steel and total mechanical reliability are essential to success in one of the most challenging action packed sports around. Check it out on June 19 - 21, 2026 in the Town of Peace River.

Harvest Moon Festival
Imagine Mainstreet Grimshaw lined with lights, games, food booths, and fun activities enjoyed by hundreds of residents and visitors joining together to celebrate the summer and welcome the harvest season.
Miserable Miles
Each year, athletes push themselves to the limits of their endurance against the breathtaking background of the Peace River valley while competing in the Miserable Miles. Enjoy a fun and challenging 5.5km obstacle race that takes contestants over a 212 meter vertical ascent through the stunning vistas of Misery Mountain, located in northern Alberta’s community of Peace River.

There’s nothing more magical than the “Carnaval de St-Isidore,” a treasured celebration of the Francophone culture in Northern Alberta and this year, you can expect a magical experience. The theme for the 41st annual event is “Neon,” bringing a feeling of progress and possibility to the much-anticipated annual winter event in St. Isidore.
